Upcoming Events

All community teens are welcome to join in on Maker Monday, an art club for teens ages 12-18. Every Monday, a new art project will be presented, though some weeks may build on previous weeks.

Children ages 3-11 and their adults are invited to this STEM based program focusing on building up.

A traditional lap-sit story time intended for children ages 0-2. During the last week the month, we'll focus on loose parts or sensory play for babies and toddlers. Siblings are welcome to attend.

We'll read a graphic novel as a group, discuss themes and talk about the book as a group. Literacy skills will include visual and textual interpretation, reading comprehension, critical thinking, and visual literacy.

Create hilarious works of art. Each teen will start with their own canvas, and after initially painting it, will pass it to their neighbor, who will add something to it. We will paint in 5-minute rounds and see what we come up with at the end!

For their June meeting, the Lit Wits Book Club will be discussing James by Percival Everett.

Lit Wits meets in the W.R and A. Sauey Foundation Community Room at the Library, 230 4th Ave.

An active story time with stories, songs, and movement followed up with a sensory or process art activity. This program is intended for families with children. 

A wide range of STEAM and maker projects will be done throughout the summer. 

Make charms, keychains, magnets, or pins with incredible shrinking paper. Tweens will be able to draw whatever they like, we'll bake it in the Creative Classroom and watch as their art shrinks down to size!

Teens will discuss any book, graphic novel, or manga they've read recently, get a snack, and make a book-related craft.

Back for it's fourth year, play Live Action Clue around the library. Solve puzzles and riddles as you explore the library to solve a crime.
