Are you a teen who loves puzzles, riddles, or Dungeons and Dragons? Join us for the Puzzles and Perils Puzzle Adventure Book Club, where we'll read one chapter of Puzzles and Perils aloud, and solve puzzles as we work through the campaign.

First Monday of the Month

1:00-3:00 PM in the Historic Reading Room

Join a table of mahjong and get to know other local players. We follow American Mahjong League rules. 

Board meeting for the Baraboo Area Literacy Council.  This meeting is open to the public.

Board Game Day! Teens will have the range of the board game closet to choose from.

In November of 1913, while hauling gravel from the Baraboo River in Lyons (now West Baraboo), a wooly mammoth tooth was discovered by August Platt and others.

Learn how to save seeds from your favorite plants so you can grow them again next year.  Seed Saving is an excellent way to share plants with your friends, or expand your existing garden.

Let's see if any of our teens can break some of the silliest world records!

Board meeting for the Friends of the Library. This meeting is open to the public.  If you would like to address the board and be added to the agenda, please contact the Library Director at least 24 hours before the meeting. 

Add some sparkle to your favorite book! We will learn how to bedazzle book covers. We ask that attendees bring their own book for this program. We will have a small amount on hand just in case.

Talk about what you’ve been reading, watching, listening to, playing, and experiencing. This is a safe and casual time to socialize, talk about media, and meet other gen z adults.

A traditional story time focusing on teaching early literacy skills through songs, rhymes, and books. This program is intended for children ages 0-2. Siblings are welcome to attend.

The Challenge of Dementia and Making Sauk County Dementia Friendly

2. The scope of dementia needs locally and worldwide.

3. Current treatment and advances

Use your survival knowledge to play and win this hilarious game!

The Tuesdays with Murder Book Club is for anyone who likes reading mysteries. Please fill out the one-time registration form below to get on the mailing list for meeting updates:

An active story time with stories, songs, and movement followed up with a sensory or process art activity. This program is intended for families with children. 

Create pinch pots and dinosaur cut outs during this messy program. Explore different texture techniques and slip glazing. Creations can be kiln fired and returned at a later date. Wear clothes and shoes that can get dirty.

Ready for a ROARING good time? Children and their adult/s are invited to the library to craft a simple dinosaur costume and then to parade around the downtown square.

Let's Talk Books at BASCO is a monthly space to discuss the books we've read and learn about new books coming out! People should come ready to chat about the books they've loved and hated and give recommendations. Coffee will be provided.

Teens, play Hide-and-Seek and Sardines in the closed library! Snacks will be provided.
