Week Calendar

A gentle and quiet bonding time with stories, songs and rhymes. Perfect for babies who aren't quite mobile yet. 

An upbeat Babygarten with rhymes, bounces, and dancing for those little ones that are movers and shakers. 

A storytime focused on music and movement. Participants should be ready to dance and move. This program is intended for children 0-5 and their caregiver/s.

Kids ages 6 to 11.  Popcorn will be served.

Movie on April 24th is The Lorax.  May 22nd will be announced in May.

Who Would Win? Book Club, ages 6 to 11, Tuesday's from 3:30-4:30pm.  We will read each book together, then we will do a fun activity related to the book.  

Registration is not required. 

We will watch the new film Wonka and have candy and popcorn available. THIS PROGRAM WILL RUN FROM 4:00-5:45 PM. Wonka is rated PG. 

We will be reading The Enigma Game by Elizabeth Wein. We will have a snack and make a craft. 

The library’s French Conversation Hour is a space to practice speaking French in a friendly, supportive environment. Note that a French teacher will not be present.

A local chess expert will be on hand to help tweens and teens ages 10-17 learn how to play chess. Join us to learn the game, or to be challenged by an expert player. 

Join us for a special Earth Day viewing of the new documentary Feeding Tomorrow, which looks at our food system and how it can change in innovative ways to make a more regenerative world. 

For their April meeting, the Lit Wits Book Club will discuss the book Gulp: Adventures on the Alimentary Canal by Mary Roach.

The Library's Chess Night for Adults is a weekly space to drop in and play chess. Bring your own chess set or use one of the library’s. All experience levels welcome!

The library's Craft/Tea Time is a weekly drop-in workspace for adults to bring their own craft projects to work on. The library will also provide a limited variety of supplies (and tea, of course!) 
 

This is a meeting of the Carnegie-Schadde Memorial Public Library board's Ad Hoc Art Selection Committee.  This meeting is open to the public.

Have you been looking for quiet time to read or write? Come to the library to quietly do this in company. We’ll chat about what we’re working on for the first 15-20 minutes, then read or write quietly for the rest of the hour.
