Upcoming Events

Ages 6 to 11.  No batteries, no screens, just lots of stuff to create with.  Ms Amy will take the first 5 minutes to introduce the parts and a baseline of where to start, then the kids will let their imaginations fly!

It's time that we learn how to make those paracord wrist clips that everyone is wearing!  

Kids ages 9 to 11.  Meets in the Creative Classroom.

Share any book you’ve loved recently with other teen readers, enjoy a snack and book-related craft or game.

Kathy will read the Grimm brothers classic, The Elves and the Shoemaker.  Kids will get to interact with Kathy's collection of props, enjoy a game, then make a craft.  

Songs, stories, and early literacy bonding experiences intended for children ages 0-2 and their adult. Siblings are welcome to attend. 

Ever wondered what it would be like to play Pac-Man in 4D? Now's your chance, but teens are the characters! We'll have other larger than life games available too. 

Board meeting for the Friends of the Library. This meeting is open to the public.  If you would like to address the board and be added to the agenda, please contact the Library Director at least 24 hours before the meeting. 

Try your hand at candle painting and decorating! We will try different ways to decorate candles using colored wax and dried flowers. Please register in advanced.

Board games are fun for the whole family.  On the 2nd Tuesday of the month, families are welcome to hang out and play some games.  We will have a selection, or you can bring your favorite from home.  Drop-in between 6-7:30pm.

A short storytime followed by activities focused on early childhood development. This program is intended for children ages 3-5 and their adult. Siblings are welcome to attend. 

Pokemon Club, ages 6 to 11, will meet the 2nd Wednesday of October and November, 2024.  No experience necessary. You can trade, play, show-off your collection, or just hang out with other Pokemon fans.

Pac-Man comes to life at the library as 1 "Pac-Man" and 2 "Ghosts" enter our giant maze.  

Registration is not required.  

Meets in the Auditorium, 3-4pm.

Join us for a Lego night just for adults! It will be a time to just free build and design whatever Lego master piece your imagination comes up with. There will be materials and resources provided. 

Let's Talk Books at BASCO is a monthly space to discuss the books we've read and learn about new books coming out! People should come ready to chat about the books they've loved and hated and give recommendations.

Play Super Smash Bros. on the library's Nintendo Switch. 

This is the regular monthly meeting of the Carnegie-Schadde Memorial Public Library board.  This meeting is open to the public.

The Tuesdays with Murder Book Club is for anyone who likes reading mysteries. The September meeting of this club will be on Tuesday, November 19 at 6:30 PM at the library in the upstairs program room.
