Let's Talk Books at BASCO is a monthly space to discuss the books we've read and learn about new books coming out! People should come ready to chat about the books they've loved and hated and give recommendations. Coffee will be provided.

Teens will get to create using air dry clay.

This is the regular monthly meeting of the Carnegie-Schadde Memorial Public Library board.  This meeting is open to the public.

We will be reading Legends and Lattes by Travis Baldree. Location is TBD. 

Teens will vote to decide which games we'll play as a group using the library's iPads. 

Children will explore color, blending, and tape resist using tempera paint sticks on paper. We'll look at a color wheel and Kandinsky's concentric circles as examples. 

All presentations start at 6:30 PM at the Carnegie-Schadde Memorial Public Library in Baraboo, doors will open at 6:00 PM.

First Monday of the Month

1:00-3:00 PM in the Historic Reading Room

Join a table of mahjong and get to know other local players. We follow American Mahjong League rules. 

Board meeting for the Baraboo Area Literacy Council.  This meeting is open to the public.

A traditional story time focusing on teaching early literacy skills through songs, rhymes, and books. This program is intended for children ages 0-2. Siblings are welcome to attend.

Join us for a presentation by local author (and library staff member) Elise Gregory. Elise will be discussing her first novel The Clayfields.

Fortnightly is Baraboo's longest-running social club. This club focuses on intellectual discussion and presentation. One member of the group presents on the topic of their choice on the larger theme.

An active story time with stories, songs, and movement followed up with a sensory or process art activity. This program is intended for families with children ages 3-5. 

Use your senses to test different fruits and build a fun snack. Please let us know if your child has any allergies. Intended for ages 6-8. 

Play the game, trade cards, do activities, and more.

TALK TO YOUR CHILD ABOUT CARD TRADING AHEAD OF TIME. CARD TRADING WILL NOT BE MONITORED. 

Join us for Teen Dungeons and Dragons. No experience required. Due to the nature of game play and the demand, REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED AND SPOTS ARE LIMITED. TEENS MUST REGISTER IN ADVANCE.

Talk about what you’ve been reading, watching, listening to, playing, and experiencing. This is a safe and casual time to socialize, talk about media, and meet other gen z adults.

Join us for a cooking class and book discussion sponsored by Bekah Kates based on recipes in the book

“Lessons in Chemistry” by Bonnie Garmus

April 11, 6:00-8:00 PM at Bekah Kates

We will read a Choose Your Own Adventure book together aloud, and vote to decide the paths we take through the novel. We'll have a snack or craft to go along with the book. 

Are you an avid gardener but have no to space to plant?  Learn how you can use containers to grow your favorite flowers and vegetables when you have limited space.
