Purpose of Meeting
This January 7th, Baraboo Writers Blast begins a four‑month focus on memoir writing—an invitation to give yourself permission to open up your memories and explore what they mean. Many people wonder where to begin, and our sessions will offer practical tools like “memoir mapping” to help chart life experiences into stories. With the guidance of local writer Windy Lynn Warren, who holds a Master’s in English and creative writing, participants will receive both professional insight and the encouragement of a supportive group. Windy draws on her own life experiences to model vulnerability and creativity, while ensuring that each person’s work remains their own. Through playful activities and real‑life examples, we’ll spark ideas, build confidence, and discover how personal narratives can connect and inspire. Baraboo Writers Blast is a monthly community writing group welcoming all adults ages 18 and up. We will meet from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. in the W.R. and Floy A. Sauey Foundation Community Meeting Room (lower level, elevator provided). Space is limited to 15 participants, creating a cozy, encouraging environment to share, learn, and grow together. This program is free of charge. Please write with any questions to baraboowritersblast@gmail.com.
